My Inspiration

After dedicating 30 years to helping others achieve their highest potential in sports here in Canada, I found myself at a crossroads. Returning home to be with my family during a challenging time, I faced the profound loss of my niece. This period of grief became a turning point, prompting me to find a new way to channel my energy and honour her memory.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the forest and the calming process of creation, I began carving comfort birds. Each piece is a reflection of love, healing, and the transformative power of nature. Maar Maar Woods is more than just a collection of carvings; it's a tribute to my niece and a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us, even in the midst of change.
