My Story

Each Comfort Bird is shaped by hand to celebrate nature, comfort, and the quiet strength that helps us move forward.

After dedicating 30 years to helping others achieve their highest potential in sports here in Canada, I found myself at a crossroads. Returning home to be with my family during a challenging time, I faced the profound loss of my niece. This period of grief became a turning point, prompting me to find a new way to channel my energy and honour her memory.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the forest and the calming process of creation, I began carving Comfort Birds. Each piece is a reflection of love, healing, and the transformative power of nature. Maar Maar Woods is more than just a collection of carvings; it's a tribute to my niece and a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us, even in the midst of change.
